Mission Adaptive, Modular Law Enforcement Helmet Design

In this study, we are developing a mission-adaptive, modular helmet for law enforcement (LE) officers and first responders that will provide concussive and ballistic protection and is lightweight, comfortability, and able to be worn for long periods of time during civil unrest or riot situation. The main objective of this research is to design a novel suspension pad that reduces brain shear strain under oblique ballistic impacts.
